FBW Group’s growing engineering division has delivered a major clean water initiative for a multi-national business in East Africa.

FBW worked on the investment programme to improve the management of wastewater discharged from one of the business’ manufacturing operations in the region.

The upgrade, including civil works, related equipment and accessories, followed a detailed concept and feasibility study benchmarking the plant against global best practice water and waste treatment plants.

The upgrade will treat water from the manufacturing process to consistently meet company specifications and water quality requirements, while recovering more portable water and allowing sludge to be disposed of in solid form.

The FBW team has also completed civil engineering design work and site supervision. It is the latest in a series of improvement work it has carried out for the multi-national in the region.

FBW’s engineering division focuses on structural, civil, electrical, and mechanical works and has wide experience in the successful design and delivery of industrial and building projects across Africa.

Joseph Debuni, FBW Group’s director of engineering, said: “Our successful record of project management and site supervision is coupled with the fact that as a multi-disciplinary practice, we’re able to offer a one-stop shop for all our industrial clients, who tap into our local expertise and commitment to international standards.

FBW offers a wide range of in-house professional building and technical services.
