ENGINEERING

Engineering services are provided both in-house and through associated companies in the following fields:

PROJECT MANAGEMENT

Client liaison;
Advising on suitable building contractors and specialist trades people;
Advising on the selection of design team and/or contractors;
Advising on tendering procedures and suitable procurement routes;
Preparation of tender documentation and specifications of materials and workmanship;
Issuing documents to contractors, setting out the terms and conditions for bidding/tendering;
Preparation of contract documentation and contract;
Programme planning and control assessment of client requirements, programme and budget;

Advising on contractual matters;
Examining and advising on contractor's proposals and costs where appropriate;
Acting as clients agent under the contract during the implementation of works;
Regularly visiting site during construction and reporting back to client;
Administering construction contracts;
Inspecting and reporting as relevant on the progress of works and the performance of the contractor;
Seeking local authority approval/consents;
Project co-ordination/administration;
Provision of on-site management where required (clerk of works/resident engineer).
