One of the country's largest University libraries, UCU's Hamu Mukasa Library in Mukono, was officially handed over in November. The building is the result of a successful collaboration between Perkins & Will, the renowned US-based design architects, and FBW acting as executive architects and structural engineers on the ground, providing engineering, design and technical supervision. |

In a further strengthening of FBW's reputation as delivery experts in the region, we have been appointed to ensure the successful project delivery of engineering works supporting the installation of two new waste water treatment plants at Heineken-owned breweries in Bukavu and Kisangani. The project is providing a welcome return to the Brewery sector that was started by our partner firm GMP in Tanzania over 25 years ago. |

FBW Group continues to expand its project delivery expertise with the formation of a new Mechanical and Electrical Engineering department from January 2012 onwards. Announcing this new service at the firm's End-of-the-year party in October, Group Managing Director Paul Moores reaffirmed FBW's commitment to provide its clients a 'one-stop-centre' for building consultancy throughout the East African region. The addition of this new unit also underlines the Group's continuing expansion of project resources, which has seen the company grow from 27 to 65 people over the last two years. |
